Mad Max 2 (also known as The Road War...

Mad Max 2 (also known as The Road Warrior in the U.S., and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior)

I talk often of lists when I write about films. In my mind there are vague groups of films that are bunched together into categories like "best of all time" or "best of the decade" etc... One day I may actually put together said lists. It goes without saying that  in the "best of all time" category would sit an awesome little movie called Mad Max 2. This film is proof that though we can logically put together reasons why we love films sometimes its just a gut thing...you either love it or not. MM2 certainly is lacking in many areas. Characters are simply there w/o any real depth. What plot exists serves only to get us to the next chase and or action scene. I point these things out merely to prove that I get why some might not like this film. I don't really give a shit though because I absolutely love every moment. Maybe its the 10 year old boy in me? I've often said that the mark of a great film is it's ability to overcome its (sometimes obvious) flaws. Mad Max 2 is a perfect example of this.
